Register Online for the 2014-15 School Year

registration.jpgStarting May 1, 2014, parents may register their children for the 2014-15 school year online through our district’s Aeries Parent Portal. Current students will be bringing home a packet with instructions on how to register. Mission Elementary will be offering registration assistance and open labs. Outdoors Essay Contest Winner


Annabelle Mercer, a fourth grade student at Reynolds Elementary, recently won San Diego County Office of Education's Essay contest on the outdoors.  As a prize, she will be able to attend fifth grade camp next year for free!

Mission San Luis Rey Historical Essay Contest Winners!

Matthew and SaraiPrincipal Gina Zyburt recognized Sarah Lupisan and Matthew Cruz for recently winning the Mission San Luis Rey Historical Essay Contest. Sarah won first place and Matthew's essay won second place in the contest.

  • The Two-Way Spanish Immersion Program at Reynolds School is a language-oriented program designed to build fluency in both Spanish and English.  Native Spanish and English speaking children have the opportunity to develop their listening, speaking and writing skills in both languages.
  • In the Reynolds Two-Way Spanish Immersion Program, Spanish is used as the primary language of instruction in the first years.  English is introduced gradually into the curriculum.  All students receive a high quality instructional program centered on academic success in both Spanish and English.
  • The goal of the program is for all students to become biliterate and bilingual in two languages - English and the "target" language Spanish.

Wellness Policy


The OUSD Student Wellness Policy focuses on nutrition and physical education.  

Foods and beverages sold to students through the district’s child nutrition program, student stores, vending machines and fundraisers meet or exceed state and federal nutrition standards. Nutrition education is provided as a part of the district’s health education program.
